Check out this gorgeous red-shouldered hawk that Mia spotted as we we driving through one of the metroparks by our house.
We see a lot of red-tailed hawks in the winter, so seeing another reddish brown, similarly sized bird of prey is a nice change of pace.
I have never heard of this bird before! Just the red-tailed hawk. Awesome!
