Still photography cannot begin to explain the sensation of seeing a group of white pelicans as they fly overhead. When they are flying, they feel like a part of the landscape, commanding a presence that is hard to ignore. This is especially true when they are in groups like this, as they will fly and turn and swoop as a group, staying in formation like a squadron of fighter jets.
