I have had to re-edit this photo some four times now, but I am satisfied with how it has turned out so far.
I am obsessed with trying to capture bees in flight, so I was thrilled to get this one at a freshly-bloomed trout lily. Backlit by the morning sun, I used the shadow of a tree trunk as a background, and then simply waited for one of the nearby bees to approach.
