I was discussing with a friend a while back about how I am wanting to allow more environment into my photos. I have a tendency to want to see individual feathers on a bird, or fur on a mink, and am actively trying to change that. It is easy to think that the closer that you get to your subject, the more successful your photographs will be.
That is not always the case, and context in the landscape is important as well.
Backgrounds and surroundings are important. I love seeing reflections like those in your photo.
